With over over 30 years experience within Adult Health and Social Care; empowering people to take control of their finances and well-being is what we do best. We set up Cheshire Independent Agents in early 2018 to encourage and support people to increase their income, plan for their future and to ease the pressures of money management. Here at CIA we combine our extensive experience with a genuine passion for supporting people to live well and independently. Our team have a strong track record of delivering meaningful projects that support vulnerable adults throughout Cheshire, alongside providing dedicated 121 support to individuals who need guidance to maintain their independence and make informed decisions about their lives.​
With over a decade of experience supporting young people with Autism, Lisa is deeply committed to helping individuals and families navigate complex and often challenging situations with clarity, confidence and compassion. Her career spans more than 20 years across the care sector and charitable organisations, where she has developed a firm belief that knowledge is empowering, and believes in sharing it to help others move forward. Lisa supports people with a wide range of needs, from navigating the complexities of completing a Lasting Power of Attorney to maximising income, accessing the right support and improving overall quality of life. Her approach is person-centred, practical and rooted in genuine care for the people she works with. Based in Cheshire, Lisa lives with her husband and family, alongside her two dogs, Flash and Jasper. In her free time, she enjoys going to the gym, countryside walks and family time with her daughters and son.
Alison has been part of the team for several years, working in an attendance allowance focused role where she plays an important part in supporting both clients and colleagues. She particularly values the opportunity to connect with a wide range of people and takes pride in offering reassurance, guidance and a friendly point of contact whenever it’s needed. Outside of work, Alison also supports and cares for her elderly mother, a role that has given her a deep understanding of the importance of compassion, patience and dependable support — values she brings into her work every day.
Sarah supports individuals and families in claiming Attendance Allowance and other benefits, helping them understand their entitlements and access the financial support they deserve. She is known for her patient, compassionate and supportive approach, taking pride in guiding clients through what can often feel like a complex process with clarity and reassurance. Outside of work, Sarah lives with her husband and two daughters. She enjoys spending time with her family, walking and watching football.
Jan has been working as a Benefits Advisor with CIA for over three years, supporting individuals to navigate and apply for benefits with confidence and ease. She values building strong, trusting relationships with clients, helping to make what can often feel like a stressful process as clear and straightforward as possible. Outside of work, Jan enjoys birdwatching, countryside walks and watching cricket.
